Interview with Linda Callan and Patti Parish, sr. account executives at Kuoni San Diego
Kuoni can make a circus of your event. And that’s a good thing.
Recently, the San Diego office of Kuoni Destination Management created an entire circus-themed reception for a client. They put up a giant circus tent, built a trapeze, hired performers and offered classic, savory circus fare.
“It was a huge hit, our client loved it,” said Linda Callan, sr. account executive, Kuoni. “Just as clients were arriving at the tent, there were three colorful hot air balloons that went right over the tent. We couldn’t have planned it better!”
Attendees were invited to try out the trapeze and interact with performers.
In sunny San Diego, Kuoni sits as the hub for all sorts of destination management services in San Diego and Palm Springs.
“We provide everything; catering, custom tours, team building décor, and even testing new trends. We have a person on staff that goes out and researches new venues in the area and checks out new food options so we can continue innovating our designs” said Patti Parish, sr. account executive, Kuoni.
Though the San Diego office shares their consistently high standards of service with the Kuoni brand, the office is very much localized.
“We’re very well connected here. Our relationships are key. We depend on our contacts to leverage more creative opportunities. Right now, we offer a ‘locals-only tour’ for the many great spots that only a real Californian would be willing to show you,” said Callan.
It is their creativity, attention to detail and local influence that earned Kuoni San Diego the award of 2014 Top 25 DMC by Special Events Magazine, for the tenth year in a row.
