On-site at a brand new AM Resorts property, Connie Schuerer, Regional Director of Sales, Jennifer Summers, Regional Director of Sales, and Deanna Sandstrom, Director of Sales and Industry Relations attended an educational familiarization trip in Los Cabos, Mexico in February 2013. This wasn’t a typical trip to the popular west coast destination. The three stayed at the AMResorts Property Secrets Puerto Los Cabos, which opened in December 2013.
“It has a true resort feeling. The property is expansive for that area, it has land that others don’t,” said Sandstrom. The property has 2 pools, an 18-hole golf course and marina directly connected, perfect for both corporate meetings and incentive groups. Though eventually it will have a neighboring JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton in the coming years, the refreshing sense of exclusiveness behind the gated paradise won’t disappear.
For a group who wanted to stay on the property and perhaps make a short trip to the more laid back San Jose del Cabo – this property is perfect. Elite Incentives, our DMC partner in the area, will eventually have boats leaving from the local marina in Puerto Los Cabos for the Arch/sunset cruise.
San Jose del Cabo is lovely, clean, lots of galleries and little shops and beautiful restaurants. They do an art walk on Thursday evenings where all the galleries stay open late. It is a great spot for dine-arounds and feels authentic and elegant. An easy taxi ride from Secrets. We saw a handful of beautiful restaurants that groups could utilize, all with lovely courtyards and outdoor space.
