Two hospitality industry veterans join Prestige Global Meeting Source sales department

Marshall Jones and Max Eelkema expand Prestige’s west coast sales efforts.

Minneapolis, MN – Prestige | Global Meeting Source is pleased to announce the addition of two new west coast sales partners. Marshall Jones and Max Eelkema both bring a wealth of hospitality industry experience to support the growth of Prestige’s site selection and event services offerings.

The growth of the Prestige sales team is essential to supporting increased sales initiatives, including the ongoing expansion into event services. “Adding Marshall and Max—both with vast experience in hospitality—to the Prestige team is an exciting step toward continuing to grow our presence on the west coast,” said James St. Peter, senior vice president of sales at Prestige.

Marshall Jones joins Prestige as regional vice president of sales, covering the San Jose, Calif. area, and Max Eelkema joins as regional director of sales, covering Seattle, Wash.

“These are two very strong sales partners to have joining the team,” St. Peter said, “Marshall’s extensive experience in hospitality is a valuable resource for meet planners around San Jose, and Max’s hotel knowledge and experience will prove beneficial for those in Seattle.”

Marshall is an accomplished hospitality leader who brings nearly 25 years of experience to his role at Prestige.

Prior to joining Prestige, Marshall was at the Fairmont San Jose. There, he managed all aspects of sales, catering, advertising, public relations, revenue management and marketing at the landmark Silicon Valley hotel. His tenure with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts includes numerous accomplishments, including overseeing a multi-million-dollar restoration and rebranding at the Claremont Club & Spa as well as strategically improving rooms revenue from $50M to $80M at Fairmont San Jose.

Max Eelkema | Regional Director of Sales, Seattle
With more than 15 years of hospitality experience, Max has been hands-on in most jobs in a hotel. His hospitality background includes time at Suncadia Resort building their guest service department, a concierge role at Microsoft’s Executive Briefing Center as well as a role at Microsoft, helping the Legal, corporate affairs meetings team on campus. Max has spent the last four years in hotel group sales at Suncadia and at the Motif Seattle Hotel.
