Hotel Emma | San Antonio

The Hotel Emma at the Pearl was recently recognized by Conde Nast as the #1 Hotel in Texas, #3 in the Nation and #19 in the world, Hotel Emma has not only created a new model for the hotel industry; but we’ve changed the landscape for the culinary experience.

Hotel Emma sits on the Pearl Campus where a 19th century brewery was converted into a 22-acre mixed use urban village and culinary destination. Incredibly rich local sources for world class culinary experiences are as close as the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) or at any of Pearl’s 10 extraordinary restaurants, the year round Farmers Market or the hotel’s own unique watering holes.

The hotel’s designers, Roman and Williams, are known for their interplay with historic and modern elements as well as always-inventive high and low interpretations. What resulted is an eclectic and curated mix of a whole spectrum of styles – old, new, industrial and refined – evoking a soothing domestic yet exotic and romantic feeling throughout the hotel. Emma sets a new standard for luxury hotels, with a juxtaposition of grittiness and authenticity with elegance.

Hotel Emma offers a variety of comfortable and unconventional meeting and conference facilities, suitable for any meeting or party needs.  The venues are as thoughtfully and artfully designed as its restaurants, suites, and public spaces, making it the perfect combination of style and advanced technology.

The property features more than 6,100 square feet of meeting space and distinctive outdoor spaces, including:

Elephant Cellar: The space is as impressive as its namesake. Nineteen-foot ceilings tower over the 3,250 sf room, which can accommodate 240 guests. The refined/industrial look is accented with custom chandeliers made from bottle labelers brought over from Germany in the 1920s. Huge brewing tanks are ranked along both sides of the space… big, round gray tanks with pipe “trunks” — the resemblance to pachyderms inspired the name decades ago. Elephant Cellar is flanked by Hotel Emma’s fabulous exhibition kitchen and the Courtyard, which overlooks the river.

Cellar J: Cellar J is flooded with abundant natural light pouring in through two walls of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Museum Reach of the San Antonio River. Opening directly onto Emma’s inviting Courtyard, Cellar J’s charms include 16-foot vaulted ceilings and 1,050 sf of space for up to 105 guests. For larger groups, Cellar J can be linked to Cellar K to provide a generous 1,625 sf of event space.

Cellar K: Big floor-to-ceiling windows open to a spacious veranda overlooking the river. A lofty 16-foot vaulted ceiling gives an expansive air to the Cellar’s 575 sf footprint, which easily welcomes up to 40 guests. For larger groups (up to 145), Cellar K can be combined with Cellar J for a total of 1,625 sf.

Gold Room: Emma’s third-floor Gold Room looks out onto the spacious rooftop pool and deck. The neighboring foyer and adjoining galley kitchen allow for flexible pre-function space and on-the-spot culinary creations. At 840 sf, the Gold Room accommodates up to 75 guests. The room was named by workers in the late 19th Century to reflect its stature as the place where the Brewery’s guests were entertained.

Supper Private Dining: A felicitous setting for a cocktail reception, a working lunch or small meeting of 22 people. Walls of windows brighten 408 sf of thoughtfully detailed space that adjoins a private patio overlooking the river.

Boardroom: A spacious antique English table commands the Boardroom, where up to 14 people can gather for business in a quiet, urbane setting. Rustic one-hundred-year-old brick walls are a textural counterpoint to the room’s refinement.

Courtyard:  Hotel Emma’s 1500 sf Courtyard welcomes up to 150 people outdoors to enjoy a starry night or breeze-cooled afternoon. Reserve the Courtyard on its own or as a romantic annex for events in the Elephant Cellar or Cellar J.

Prestige is proud to include Hotel Emma as a Platinum Partner.
