Vienna: where Historic meets Modern, and Design meets Tradition

Prior to IMEX 2015 in Frankfurt, Doug Peterson took several days to embrace all that Vienna, Austria has to offer. “Wherever you turn, there are exhibitions, art fairs, treasures at first-rate museums, music from classical to electronic, culinary trends, Viennese food and wine, and great shopping experiences”, Doug states upon his return.

Vienna is a very walkable city with parks and a ring road around the city center. Doug stayed in the Marriott Hotel, one of the most stunning hotels Vienna offers. This sophisticated hotel is situated on the elegant Ringstrasse and is within walking distance to St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the opera, theaters, museums, shopping streets and all major attractions. The Marriott also has very nice meeting options for 200 or less with 11 flexible meeting facilities featuring fresh interior design and the latest technology.

“Three blocks from the Marriott is the Ritz-Carlton, a new build and the best in class for a destination in my opinion”, Doug proclaims. Set within four historic palaces, the five star hotel in Vienna blends Renaissance, baroque and Gothic influences with modern amenities including the Atmosphere Rooftop Bar & Lounge overlooking the city, The Guerlain Spa and the longest pool, at 18 meters, in Vienna, Austria.
