Destination: Ojai Valley Inn & Spa, California
Prestige’s Faye Fukuda, Darell Stokes, Connie Schuerer, Bo Willsey attended a familiarization trip to Ojai Valley Inn and Spa in Ojai Valley, California on August 8-10, 2014.
We arrived at the Burbank airport and were greeted by a driver provided by the hotel. The leisurely ride brought us to the beautiful Ojai Valley. The town is quaint and inviting. It is just a bike ride away from the hotel.
Once we arrived at the property, I checked in and was taken to my room on a golf cart. This was fun because the driver gave me a tour of the property at this time. The rooms are well-appointed Master Suites with fireplaces and lovely terraces, where a nice glass of wine could be consumed. The rooms are large and quite comfortable. Nice, spacious bathrooms with huge soaking tubs.
The rooms are grouped in little communities of approximately 20 rooms. I was in “Villa Mariposa” which was directly across from the artist colony, where Ojai offers painting classes and perfume blending!
I was nearby the pool and spa/fitness center. Ojai had the cutest café in between the two. They offer all types of fitness classes including Yoga, Pilates and spinning. The spa was lovely; we were all treated to services– that was the cats meow!
We ate at 5 of the restaurants on property. They ranged from fine dining to pub food- decadent in all. The Justin chardonnay from the Paso Robles region was remarkable.
The meeting space is great. There is so much to offer a client once in Ojai. From a barbeque at a little red barn equipped with horse shoes and bales of hay to a luxury home with all the trimmings. All space is right on property.
18-hole golf course, bike rentals and the beach are not too far away. The resort staff were very accommodating and went over and above to make sure we had everything we needed.
Ojai is a true resort, a little paradise all in itself.
